The Bulldogs ran wild in Surprise. Goldwater snapped a three-game losing streak this week with a 44-0 victory over Valley Vista, who is heading into a bye week.

Goldwater rushed for 407 total yards and held Valley Vista to only 30 in a dominant performance for the Bulldogs.

Valley Vista only had one possession reach Goldwater territory and had trouble mounting an offensive attack. Goldwater racked up 16 first downs to Valley Vista’s four.

Andrew Buckland was the Monsoon’s top rusher again with 29 yards on 19 carries.

Goldwater’s defense intercepted Valley Vista passers three times and sacked the quarterback five times.

Valley Vista will have a week off to prepare for the big intracity rivalry game against Willow Canyon Oct. 19. It will be the first-ever meeting between the two teams.
