Willow Canyon up to 10th
in latest power point poll

If the 5A-Division II state girls volleyball playoffs stated today, Willow Canyon would be in it.

The Wildcats' 9-6 start to the season has earned them the No. 10 spot in the 5A-Division II playoff power point poll, entering the week of Oct. 22.

The Wildcats would be in the playoffs if the season ended now as the
top 16 teams in the state qualify under the Arizona Interscholastic Association's playoff point rankings.

Ironwood Ridge, which entered the week undefeated at 15-0, is ranked first in the poll, followed by Deer Valley, Boulder Creek, Horizon and Rincon to round out the Top 5.

Valley Vista (2-13), which is playing its first year at the varsity level without seniors, is ranked 22nd in the poll.

The poll factors in win-loss record with a strength of schedule formula.
